Think "bricks"

Finding your missing brick quote
How often do you take a survey of what area of your life feels out of kilter?  What feels unbalanced, disorganized, discontent?  Is it your diet?  Your spirituality?  Your relationships?

Making time to assess what areas in your life are out of balance, neglected, or ignored is a smart habit to form.  We function at our best when every area in our lives is nurtured.  For instance, if you have not been social for a few months, you may be feeling sad, lonely, or even hopeless.  This would indicate that maybe the "social" part of your life is being ignored.  The trick is to tend to that need while still maintaining harmony in every other area.  We don't want to "rob Peter to pay Paul".

One of the best examples and most common occurrences is when a person spends 80% of their time on their job and only 20% of their time tending to their emotional, mental, and spiritual needs.  You can guess some of the ramifications of this lifestyle:  poor relationships, poor diet and exercise habits, and feelings of emptiness. 

​A simple weekly or monthly assessment of the balance in your life is key to not only feeling "whole" and content, but to functioning at your best in all areas of daily life. Identify what is missing and tend to it.  So, what is your "brick"?
