Collegiate ADHD Support Coaching - Semester/12 hours
In addition to medication for ADHD, evidence-based research has shown for decades that accommodations, behavioral plans (habits/routines/systems/, and support services such as professional coaching are the most effective supports for the ADHD student.
This semester student support service is specifically designed to help the diagnosed ADHD college student thrive in college. Each session is personalized and will be tailored around the actions, plans/systems, and goals necessary for the student to succeed academically, personally, socially, emotionally, behaviorally (habits, routines, systems). The superior purpose of this coaching is to nurture the student's mental health and understanding of how to "do college" with an ADHD brain.
The 3-pillared coaching approach that supports the student (w)holistically includes:
- executive function coaching
- stress and anxiety management coaching
- life and wellness coaching
We ensure that these 5 components will be included in these 12 hours of individualized and focused coaching:
- education on the ADHD brain and acceptance and self-awareness of this brain-based difference
- learning management system (college portal) and syllabi maintenance
- the creation and implementation of daily systems for both academics and task completion
- accessing of campus accommodations
- nurturing mental health
Please NOTE: This service is specifically designed by a trained ADHD professional clinical services provider. Much of Dr. Russell Barley's, Peg Dawson's, Richard Guare's work guides the components of this service.
Coaching is not therapy and Lori is not a licensed therapist. She is a MSW and certified in three areas of coaching- life, wellness, and executive function.
Unused sessions may be rolled over into next semester but will not be refunded.
