The course covers 8 foundational skills to SurTHRIVE Freshman Year of College:
After completing the course with your coach, you will:
Feel confident to manage all college- related challenges and struggles.
Be mentally and emotionally prepared for difficult days.
Feel socially confident and able to communicate effectively with professors and connect with peers.
Make good decisions leading with your values.
Be able to balance demands, pressures, and expectations of your busy college life.
Be prepared to implement an effective school life self-management academic system that includes daily success habits like:
Be wellness-ready with sleep, diet, body movement, and stress management.
Be able to manage uncomfortable emotions like anxiety, overwhelm, and frustration.
Be able to manage disruptions and set personal boundaries (device management).
Be able to maintain a healthy self-esteem when feeling defeated.
After completing the course with your coach, you will:
Feel confident to manage all college- related challenges and struggles.
Be mentally and emotionally prepared for difficult days.
Feel socially confident and able to communicate effectively with professors and connect with peers.
Make good decisions leading with your values.
Be able to balance demands, pressures, and expectations of your busy college life.
Be prepared to implement an effective school life self-management academic system that includes daily success habits like:
- creating your most effective time-management system
- moving through procrastination and jump starting motivation
- scheduling and prioritizing assignments
- implementing a flexible planning system
- securing effective study habits like not-taking, study methods, and study schedules
Be wellness-ready with sleep, diet, body movement, and stress management.
Be able to manage uncomfortable emotions like anxiety, overwhelm, and frustration.
Be able to manage disruptions and set personal boundaries (device management).
Be able to maintain a healthy self-esteem when feeling defeated.

No one ever has ever told me some of these things. Like, who knew that you would most likely have to schedule ever hour of time in college so that you can have fun and study. I think it's called (time) blocking?

I was overthinking and worrying about stupid stuff before taking Lori's course. This class helped me see the bigger picture of how to treat college. I guess I have to get serious.
